I have gone through the petition as well as counter affidavit filed by the State respondent. It is an admitted position of fact that the State respondent is yet to file charge sheet before the concerned Court and the case is pending before the Court since 01.12.2023. This Court is of the view that keeping the present case pending for a long time is not called for. Accordingly, the present case is made absolute with the following conditions: i. The petitioner shall furnish PR bond of Rs. 50,000/- (Rupees fifty thousand) only with one surety (local Government Employee of the State of Manipur) of the like amount to the satisfaction of the arresting authority. ii. The petitioner shall co-operate with the investigation. iii. The petitioner shall not tamper with the evidence or influence witnesses.
