By the present petition, the petitioner whose mother was working as Assistant Teacher in the department of School Education, died on 04/12/2000 seeking a direction towards the respondent authority to release the pensionary benefit for the period when his sister who was receiving the pension attained the age of 25 years i.e. on 21/06/2024 till the age of the petitioner when the petitioner attained the age of 25 years. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that after the petitioner’s sister attained the age of 25 years, the petitioner is entitled for the pension and for which, the office of Department of Treasury vide communication dated 13/02/2025 asked the Principal, Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Bemetara to sanction the family pension in favour of the petitioner, but till date, no steps has been taken for payment of the said family pension to the petitioner till the period when the petitioner attained the age of 25 years. 3. Learned counsel for the State submits that the Principal/respondent No.5 will take appropriate steps in accordance with communication dated 13/02/2025 issued by the Officer of Department of Treasury by verifying the entitlement of the petitioner within a stipulated period. 4. I have heard learned counsel for the parties, perused the pleadings and documents. 5. In view of submission made by learned counsel for the State/respondent, 3 the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Principal/respondent No.5 to take an appropriate steps regarding the entitlement of the family pension by the petitioner after when the petitioner’s sister attained the age of 25 years. The said exercise be done within a period of 60 days from the receipt of the order of this Court. 6. With the aforesaid observation and direction, the writ petition stands disposed of .
