SREENIVASA REDDY Criminal Petition No.5918 of 2025 Order; This Criminal Petition, under Sections 480 and 483 of B.N.S.S., has been filed by the petitioner/Accused, seeking regular bail, in S.C.No.3 of 2025 on the file of the learned Judge, Special Court for trial of Offences under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences, Act, 2002, Kadapa. 2. A case has been registered against the petitioner herein for the offences punishable under Sections 64 and 103 of BNS, 2023 and Section 3 r/w 4 of the POCSO Act. 3. Case of the prosecution is that, the victim girl was resident of Badvel and accused is residing at Kadapa. While she was studying Junior Intermediate she fell in love with the accused. On 20.10.2024 on the pretext of love and marriage, the accused took the victim girl in an auto from Badvel towards P.P.Kunta. From there they went to into forest by walk to some distance where the accused committed rape on victim girl, pressed her neck with force with an intention to kill her. As a result, she became unconscious and the accused poured kerosene on her body and lit fire, resulting in the victim girl sustaining severe burn injuries over her body. She was shifted to Government / 2 Hospital, Badvel and subsequently, to RIMS Hospital, Kadapa, where she succumbed to the burnt injuries on 20.10.2024 while undergoing treatment. Heard. Perused the record. 4. A perusal of the record goes to show that there are serious 5. allegations against the petitioner herein that he made believe the victim girl who is aged about 17 years on the pretext of love and marriage, committed rape on her and when she asked about marriage, the petitioner poured kerosene on her body and lit fire. resulting which, she sustained injuries and succumbed to the same. Though investigation has been completed and charge sheet is filed and the same got numbered, but considering the serious accusations against the petitioner herein, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the Criiminal Petition is dismissed. 6. As a: seguel , thereto, the miscellaneous petitions, if any. pending in this Criminal Petition, shall stand closed.
