General Body Meeting of Y.S.R. Kadapa District, scheduled to be held on 20.06.2025. 2. Heard Sri V.R. Reddy Kovvuri, learned counsel appearing for the Petitioners and Smt. A. Jayanti, learned Government Pleader for Home appearing for the Respondent No.7. 3. The apprehension of the Petitioners is that earlier General Body Meeting conducted on 23.10.2024 was disrupted by some miscreants and the Petitioners anticipate the same recurrence in the General Body Meeting scheduled to be held on 20.06.2025. Earlier, W.P.No.28707 of 2024 was filed by the Petitioner No.1 for the same relief for the General Body Meeting scheduled on 23.12.2024 seeking for police protection. Though the said Writ Petition was disposed of taking note of the written instructions agreeing to provide police protection to the General Body Meeting of the Respondent-Corporation, the same was disrupted. 2 4. Today i.e. on 17.06.2025, the learned Government Pleader passed on the written instructions signed by the Respondent No.7 dated 17.06.2025, wherein, it is stated that the Respondent No.7 is ready to provide tight security to prevent any third party to enter into the General Body Meeting at Respondent No.3 Conference Hall. The relevant portion of the written instructions reads as under:- “It is further submitted that the 7'*^ Respondent received representation from the petitioners. Basing on the representation from the petitioners the 7**^ respondent is ready to provide tight security to prevent any third party to enter into the General Body Meeting at 3''^ Respondent Conference Hall. 5. In view of the readiness of the Respondent No.7 to provide security, the Writ Petition is disposed of with the following directions;- (i) The Respondent No.7 shall provide fool proof security for the General Body Meeting scheduled to be held on 20.06.2025 at the Conference Hall of Respondent No.3-Municipal Corporation. (ii) The Respondent No.7 shall ensure that no person other than the elected representatives, ex-officio members and requisite regular staff shall be permitted into the conference hall of Respondent No.3- Corporation where the General Body Meeting is scheduled on 20.06.2025. 3 (iii) The Respondent No.7 shall ensure smooth passage for the elected members, ex-officio members and requisite staff, if required, from their respective residences.
