1. In view of a Larger Bench decision of this Court, it is the District Court which has pecuniary jurisdiction to entertain all first appeals in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Accordingly, FAT/9/2025 is dismissed due to lack of pecuniary jurisdiction with liberty to the appellant to prefer an appeal before the concerned District Court on the self-same grounds as taken in the present appeal.
2. Interim order, if any, stands vacated.
3. The learned Advocate-on-record for the appellant will be at liberty to take back the certified copies of the impugned judgments and decrees, upon furnishing photocopies thereof for the records, to enable the appellant to prefer the appeal before the jurisdictional Court.
4. There will be no order as to costs.
