Pursuant to the orders passed in this writ petition, learned Additional Advocate General has placed on record a copy of office instructions dated 21.04.2026 from the Executive Engineer, Sangrah (B&R) Division, H.P. PWD Sangrah, conveying issuance of the office order of the even date by the Engineer-in-Chief, H.P. PWD Shimla in petitioner’s case. The said office order has also been appended with the office instructions, in terms of which the claim of the petitioner has been considered and allowed for family pension, subject to the final outcome of the Letters Patent Appeal (LPA) statedly filed by the 1 Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? yes 2 respondents-State. The office order further conveys that the Executive Engineer, Sangrah, would take all necessary steps for extending the benefits of the judgment to the petitioner at the earliest. 2. Taking note of the above documents, the present petition stands disposed of with a direction to the respondents to issue necessary orders/comply with the office order dated 21.04.2026 within three weeks from today, i.e. on or before 15.05.2026. However, liberty is reserved to the petitioner to seek appropriate remedy, in accordance with law, for the redressal of her surviving grievances at an appropriate stage, in case the necessity so arises in future.
