HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT ALLAHABAD LUCKNOW CONTEMPT APPLICATION (CIVIL) No. - 1012 of 2025 Court No. - 8 HON'BLE MANISH KUMAR, J. The respondent has filed a compliance affidavit, which is taken on record. Learned counsel for the applicant has submitted that the amount which has been paid to the applicant is lesser than the amount for which the applicant is legally entitled including the interest. On the other hand, learned Standing counsel has submitted that there is no specific direction as to what amount is to be paid under which head. The order was only consequences to follow and whatever the consequences had followed, the payment has been made to the applicant. After hearing learned counsel for the parties and going through the record of the case, it is found that after partly allowing the writ petition, the writ Court has observed 'consequences to follow', which means for payment of post retiral dues and the same has been paid. It is not disputed by learned counsel for the applicant that the amount has been paid but not the amount for which the applicant is entitled including the interest. The said dispute regarding the determination of payment cannot be adjudicated in the contempt proceedings. Moreso, there was no direction by the writ Court for payment of any interest to the applicant on amount found payable to him. In view of above, the judgment and order passed by the writ Court has been complied with as such, the present contempt application has become infructuous and the same is dismissed as infructuous.
