This Court, vide order dated 19.12.2023, passed in MCRC No.8667 of 2023 while allowing the bail to the applicant, namely, Mantora Bai, had expressed its trust that the trial Court should make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six months from the date of filing of the charge-sheet, if there was no legal impediment. The learned First Additional Sessions Judge, Balodabazar District- Balodabazar-Bhatapara (C.G.) vide his request letter dated 17.04.2025 has requested for grant of four months time for concluding the trial. 4. It transpires from perusal of the PUD that in this case, statements of 05 prosecution witnesses have been recorded and statements of 14 witnesses are yet to be recorded. Considering the number of witnesses, it is likely to take some time for concluding the trial. 5. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of four months from today, if there is no legal impediment. 6. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction. 7.
