The present petition has been filed with the following main prayers:- "(1) Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of Certiorari, thereby quashing the impugned order dated 25.07.2025, passed by the opposite party no. 2 i.e. the District Level Caste Scrutiny/Verification Committee, Pratapgarh contained as Annexure No. 1 to the writ petition: and (ii) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus thereby directing the District Level Caste Scrutiny/Verification Committee, Pratapgarh opposite party no. 2 to re-consider the caste verification claim of the children of the petitioner afresh, in accordance with law laid down by this Hon'ble Court as well as the Government orders issued by the Government of Uttar Pradesh within the stipulated period as fixed by this Hon'ble Court: and (iii) Pass any such further and other reliefs as this Hon'ble Court may deem just and proper in favor of the children of the petitioner in the interest of justice." 3. Upon due consideration to the aforesaid prayer, we are of the view that the writ petitioner should be relegated to the statutory appeal before the Versus Counsel for Petitioner(s) : Uttam Kumar Verma, Ajay Prakash Pal Counsel for Respondent(s) : C.S.C. Suresh Kumar Pal .....Petitioner(s) State Of U.P. Thru. Secy. Deptt. Of Social Welfare Lko And 2 Others .....Respondent(s) Divisional Level Committee. Therefore, the petitioner is directed to file an appeal within a period of two weeks from date. 3. In the event, the appeal is filed within two weeks, the Divisional Level Committee is directed to grant opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, and thereafter, pass an order within a period of eight weeks from the date of filing of said appeal. 4.
