HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT ALLAHABAD LUCKNOW MATTERS UNDER ARTICLE 227 No. - 6172 of 2025 Court No. - 17 HON'BLE SUBHASH VIDYARTHI, J.
1. Heard Shri Sanjay Awasthi, the learned counsel for the petitioners and Shri Anil Kumar Kushwaha, the learned Standing Counsel for the State.
2. By means of the instant petition filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India, the petitioners have sought issuance of a direction to the Additional District Magistrate, Finance and Revenue, Unnao for expeditious disposal of Case No.RST/2543/2025 under Section 10(2) of U.P. Imposition of Ceiling on Land Holdings Act, 1960.
3. A perusal of the order sheet of the proceedings annexed with the petition indicates that on most of the dates, the petitioners themselves were not present before the authority or the Advocates were abstaining from work.
4. In these circumstances, the authority cannot be blamed for delay in disposal of the proceedings when the petitioners themselves are not co-operating for expeditious disposal of the proceedings.
5. In these circumstances, there is no good ground to make any interference in this petition.
6. Accordingly, the instant petition is dismissed. October 28, 2025 -Amit K- Versus Counsel for Petitioner(s) : Sanjay Awasthi Counsel for Respondent(s) : C.S.C. (Subhash Vidyarthi,J.)
