HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT ALLAHABAD LUCKNOW CONTEMPT APPLICATION (CIVIL) No. - 3325 of 2025 Court No. - 8 HON'BLE MANISH KUMAR, J. The present contempt application has been preferred for alleged non compliance of the judgment and order dated 18.02.2025 passed in Public Interest Litigation (PIL) No. 155 of 2025, whereby this Court has directed to conclude the proceedings with expedition preferably within a period of ninety days in accordance with law. Learned counsel for the applicant has submitted that the copy of the order passed by this Court was served on 27.02.2025 but even after the expiry of ninety days, the matter is still pending. After hearing learned counsel for the applicant and through going through the record of the case as also the order-sheets enclosed since 27.02.2025 till 01.08.2025, it is found that the matter was listed on 38 dates, out of which on 34 dates, the lawyers were abstaining from judicial work, hence the delay in deciding the matter cannot be attributable to the respondent as there is no wilful or intentional disobedience on the part of the respondent. In view of the discussion made hereinabove, the present contempt application is devoid of merits and is accordingly dismissed. Notice, if any, stands discharged.
