Learned counsel for the petitioner states that although he has challenged the notice which has been issued under Section 3 of the U.P. Control of Goondas Act, 1970, a copy of which is Annexure-1 to the petition, yet as it is only a notice as such he would like to submit his reply and prays that the competent authority be directed to consider the said reply in accordance with law under relevant rules and pass a reasoned and speaking order. 3. The same has not been objected to by the learned A.G.A. 4. Considering the aforesaid, the writ petition is disposed of leaving it open to the petitioner to submit his reply to the said show cause notice within a period of two weeks. In case the reply is submitted, the competent authority shall pass a reasoned and speaking order considering the grounds as raised by the petitioner in his reply and pass an order within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of said reply along with a certified copy of this order. 5. It is made clear that this Court has not gone into the merits of the claim set forth by the petitioner.
