For Petitioner : Mr.P.Rajkumar For Respondents : Mr.V.Prashanth Kiran Government Advocate for R1 & R2 O R D E R In this writ petition, the petitioner has challenged the impugned order dated 22.12.2023, whereby the petitioner though has discharged the tax liability, the petitioner has been imposed with interest under Section 50 of TNGST Act and penalty under Section 74 of TNGST Act as detailed below: CGST (Rs.) The impugned order in DRC-07 confirms the same. 3. Considering the fact that the petitioner has already discharged the tax liability, this Court is inclined to remit the case back to the respondents to pass a fresh order on merits and in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of three (3) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is for the petitioner to discharge the interest liability to reduce the future liability. 4. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above observations. No costs.
