Sl.No. 6 Court No. 35 G.S.Das 07.05.2025 WPA 8731 of 2025 Ramjan Molla -Vs- The State of West Bengal & Ors. Mr. Mujibar Ali Naskar Mr. Sandip Kr. Mondal … for the Petitioner(s) Mr. Susovan Sengupta, ld. Sr. Adv. Mr. Tarak Karan … for the State-respondent(s) Mr. Asfak Ahammed … for the private respondent(s) The petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that his property is being attempted to be grabbed by the private respondents. When the petitioner resisted such illegal acts, he has been subjected to assault, abuse and harassment. State has a report which reflects that Canning P.S. Case No. 282 of 2025 dated 27.04.2025 has been registered for investigation under the relevant provisions of law. Learned advocate for the respondent no. 5 submits that their forefathers were sharecroppers. Consequently, it is claimed by them that they have purchased the property. In view of the nature of the dispute which stems out from the land in question and the criminal case having been registered, the police authorities would ensure that there is no breach of the peace and/or tranquility taking place as also no further untoward incident results from the strained relationship existing between the parties. With the aforesaid observations, WPA 8731 of 2025 is disposed of. Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of. Report so submitted be kept with the record. Copies of the report be handed over to both the parties. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon’ble High Court, Calcutta.
