In this writ petition, the petitioner has prayed that he should be appointed as a Chowkidar and not as a peon, on compassionate ground. 3. After hearing the parties, I find that admittedly the father of this petitioner died in harness on 6.12.2021. The petitioner applied for grant of compassionate appointment. His case was considered and he was appointed on 13.12.2024 as a peon. The petitioner joined his service. Thereafter, now he is praying that fresh appointment should be given to him as a Chowkidar and not as a peon, on compassionate ground. 4. I find that the prayer of the petitioner does not deserve for any consideration. Admittedly, the petitioner has been appointed as a peon on compassionate ground. As per the counsel for the petitioner, the benefit in service of a peon is better than that of a Chowkidar. 5. In that view, this Court fails to understand when the petitioner has been appointed as a peon on compassionate ground, how he can again pray for appointed for the second time. 6. Admittedly, the petitioner has joined the post of a peon without any grievance and without any objection. Once a person has been appointed on compassionate ground and he/she has accepted the service, now he/she cannot backtrack and claim for any other post, as per his/her own choice. 7.
