The petitioner is in custody for more than 700 days and prays for bail. Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer. I have considered the material on record. The bail prayer of the petitioner was turned down by this Court earlier considering the material on record. Sufficient incriminating material has transpired against the petitioner in course of investigation. Witnesses have named him in their statements recorded under Section 161/164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. This Court is informed that the trial is at its fag end. The examination of the investigating officer is in progress. Considering the material on record and prima facie involvement of the petitioner in the alleged offence and also the fact that the trial is on the verge of completion, prayer for bail is rejected at this stage.
2 The application for bail is disposed of. Case diary be returned. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
