THE HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE K. SREENIVASA REDDY Criminal Petition No.5917 of 2025 Order: This Criminal Petition, under Sections 480 and 483 of B.N.S.S., has been filed by the petitioner/A-7, seeking regular bail, in Crime No.51 of 2024 of Munchingiput Police Station, Alluri Sitharama Raju District. 2. A case has been registered against the petitioner herein and others for the offences punishable under Sections 111(2)(b) of B.N.S. and Sections 20(b)(ii)(C), 25 r/w 8(c) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985. 3. Case of the prosecution is that, on 06.12.2024, at about 15.00 hours at Labburu Junction, Jolaout Panchayat, Munchingiputtu, Alluri Seetharamaraju district, on receipt of credible information, the SI of Police, Munchingiputti Police Station, along with his staff, went to scene of offence and started conducting vehicle checking and caught hold A6 to A8 while transporting 734 Kgs of ganja. Police seized the contraband under the cover of mediators report and registered case against the accused. A1 to A5 are absconding. 4. Heard. Perused the record. 2 5. The quantity of contraband allegedly seized from the possession of the petitioner herein and other accused is 734 Kgs of Ganja, which is a huge quantity. Learned Special Assistant Public Prosecutor submits that petition for extension of time to file charge sheet has been filed and the same is pending. In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioners. 6. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is dismissed. As a sequel thereto, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Criminal Petition, shall stand closed. _____________________ K.
