Ms.Vidya Sri appearing for Mrs.P.T.Rama Devi learned Standing Counsel for the respondent Corporation reports that the 100 feet road at Taramani is not a vending area in terms of the Act. 3. When that being the position, the petitioner cannot be granted a license to install a bunk shop in a non-vending area. A writ of mandamus cannot be issued against the Statute. 4. Hence, the writ petition is dismissed. It is open to the petitioner to make out an appropriate application to install a shop in a vending area.
