The instant Writ Petition is filed questioning the action of the 2'^'^ respondent in insisting to pay the tax and penalty to release the vehicle bearing No. AR 06 B 5657 seized on 30.05.2025as illegal and arbitrary. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that without conducting any inquiry or issuing check report, the subject vehicle was seized by the 3'^'^ respondent and kept the same at RTC Bus Depot, Tirupati. Having regard to the submissions made, the Writ Petition is disposed of with the following directions; i) The respondents shall release the vehicle bearing No. AR 06 B 5657 seized on 30.05.2025 vide vehicle check report to the petitioner on condition of paying 50% of the tax along with the compound fees as on today and on producing demand draft or receipt acknowledging the payment, ii) The petitioner shall submit an undertaking to the effect that the subject vehicle will be produced as and when required for inquiry and that the would not be alienated pending inquiry.
