The petitioner/accused challenges the registration of the FIR for offences punishable under Sections 34, 419, 420, 465, 468, and 471 of the IPC. 2. The deceased Respondent No.2 lodged the First Information Report, alleging that the petitioner, by impersonating himself as Respondent No.2, fraudulently received compensation related to the acquisition of land from the jurisdictional Court by forging documents. 3. The allegations made against the petitioner disclose the commission of cognizable offences, and the veracity of these allegations requires investigation. At this stage, the authenticity of the allegations cannot be examined within the scope of this petition. 4. The petition is disposed of with a direction to Respondent No.1 to conclude the investigation in accordance with the law. No coercive action shall be taken against the petitioner; however, the petitioner is required - 3 - NC: 2025:KHC:13568 CRL.P No. 3296 of 2025 to cooperate with the investigation. In the event the petitioner fails to cooperate, Respondent No.1 is at liberty to take appropriate steps for the cancellation of bail granted in favor of the petitioner.
