Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Government Advocate appearing for respondents. 2. With the consent of the parties, the matter is being finally decided. 3. Under challenge is the notice dated 14.07.2025 issued to the petitioner under Section 3(1) of the Uttar Pradesh Control of Goondas Act, 1970. 4. Once the notice has been issued, the petitioner is required to submit his reply for taking whatever grounds as may be available to him. 5. Considering the aforesaid, the writ petition is disposed of leaving it open to the petitioner to submit his reply to the said notice within two weeks. 6. In case, the petitioner submits his reply to the said notice within the aforesaid stipulated period along with certified copy of this order, then the competent authority shall proceed to consider the said reply and pass a reasoned and speaking order upon the same, which order would be passed within a period of four weeks of the date of receipt of the said explanation along with copy of this order provided by the petitioner. 7.
