Personal affidavit filed by Chief Development Officer, Kannauj and District Basic Education Officer, Kannauj are taken on record. 2. The present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking the following reliefs:- "(i) to issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the Zila Basic Shiksha Adhikari, Kannauj Respondent No. 2 to examine and consider Petitioner's claim for appointment and posting as ARP Science in Block- Taalgram, District- Kannauj within the time to be specified by the Hon'ble Court; (ii) to issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the Zila Basic Shiksha Adhikari, Kannauj/Respondent No. 2 to consider and decide petitioner's representation dated 20-06-2025 02.07.2025 (true copies of Petitioner's representations are enclosed as Annexure Nos. 3 & 4 to this petition) within the time to be specified by the Hon'ble Court;" 3. Learned counsel for the respondents submits that the cause of action does not survive now due to certain developments. 4. However, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the cause of action still survives. He submits that the claim of the petitioner may be decided by the Director General of Basic Education, Government of Uttar Pradesh. 5. Director General of Basic Education, Government of Uttar Pradesh, is directed to decide the case of the petitioner. In case, the Director General of Basic Education, Government of Uttar Pradesh, finds that he is not the competent authority under law, then he shall remit the matter to the appropriate concerned authority for taking a decision in the matter of the Versus Counsel for Petitioner(s) : J.P. Pandey, Counsel for Respondent(s) : Shruti Maliviya, C.S.C. Ranjana Pathak .....Petitioner(s) State Of U.P. And 2 Others .....Respondent(s) petitioner. A reasoned and speaking order shall be passed by the concerned authority after providing an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner within a period of seven weeks from today and the order shall be communicated to the petitioner. 6. With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition is disposed of and consigned to record. 7.
