Hon'ble Shri Bibhu Datta Guru , Judge Order on Board 02.05.2025 1. By the present writ petition, the petitioners who were working as Assistant Teachers (Panchayat) at Govt. Higher Secondary School and Govt. Primary School at District Mahasamund seeking a direction towards the respondents for promotion to the post of Teacher (Panchayat) Science from the post of Assistant Teacher (Panchayat) with effect from 2016. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner by referring a communication dated 27.12.2024 submits that the CEO Zila Panchayat vide its communication has already sent the list of eligible Assistant Teachers (Panchayat) who are eligible for promotion to the post of Teacher and also stated that the General Administration Committee of the Zila Panchayat vide its resolution dated 06.12.2024 has also recommended the name of the petitioners for promotion to the post of Teacher. 3. Learned counsel for the respondents on instruction submits that the communication of the Zila Panchayat, which has been pointed out by the petitioner, is under consideration by the respondent Director 4 Panchayat and the said recommendation is pending for decision of the Director. The Director Panchayat will take a decision on the recommendation made by the Zila Panchayat within a stipulated period. 4. I have heard both the parties and perused the pleadings of the petitioners. 5. It appears from the pleadings as well as the relief sought by the petitioners that the petitioners are seeking a direction towards the Director Panchayat to take a decision on the recommendation made by the Zila Panchayat vide its communication dated 27.12.2024 by which the Zila Panchayat has recommended grant of promotion to the petitioners from the post of Assistant Teacher to Teacher (Panchayat). Looking to the submission made by the State counsel, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Director Panchayat to take a decision on the recommendation made by the Zila Panchayat on 27.12.2024 within a period of 30 days from today in accordance with law. The petitioners may apprise the Director Panchayat about the order of this Court. 6. With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition is disposed of. Sd/- (Bibhu Datta Guru) Judge Shoaib
