Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record. 3. Admittedly, the property comprised in Old Grama Natham Survey No.434/2B1A Part, New Grama Natham Survey No.488/13, ad-measuring 9990 ¾ sq.ft., situated at Ozhalur Village, Chengalpattu Taluk, Chengalpattu Registration District, Chengalpattu District is classified as “Grama Natham”. Therefore, “Grama Natham” is meant for residential purposes and not for any other purpose and as such, the request made by the petitioner seeking patta for the entire land cannot be considered. 4. In view of the above, the writ petition is devoid of merits and is liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, this writ petition stands dismissed.
