Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned standing counsel for respondents. 2. Supplementary affidavit filed today be taken on record. 3. Present petition has been filed seeking following relief:- "i). Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing respondent no. 3/Executive Engineer, Irrigation Department Mirzapur, Canal Division, Mirzapur to grant Argicultural Lease (Krishi Patta) in favour of petitioners over the vacant land situated in the catchment area of Dhandharal Dam, Pargana- Vijaygarh, Tehsil-Robertsganj, District-Sonebhadra on the basis of government order dated 03.09.1992. ii)Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing respondent no. 3/Executive Engineer, Irrigation Department Mirzapur, Canal Division, Mirzapur to consider and decide the representation of petitioners dated 24.06.2024 within stipulated period from the command of this Hon'ble Court." 4. Learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that for redressal of their grievances, petitioners have filed representation dated 24.06.2024 before respondent No. 3, but till date no decision has been taken. Lastly, it is submitted that a direction may be issued to respondent No. 3 to decide the aforesaid representation within a stipulated time, for which learned standing counsel has no objection. In view of the facts and circumstances of the case, the writ petition is disposed of directing respondent No. 3-Executive Engineer, Irrigation Department Mirzapur, Canal Division, Mirzapur to decide the representation of the petitioners dated 24.06.2024 in accordance with law, maximum within period of two months from the date of submission of certified copy of this order. Petitioners are directed to annex photocopy of representation dated 24.06.2024 alongwith certified copy of this order. 5. It is made clear that this Court has not adjudicated the case on merits.
