1. The present appeal is directed against impugned judgment of conviction and order of sentence dated 08.06.2005 passed by the Special Judge, Raigarh in Special Criminal Case No.20/2002, whereby and whereunder, the appellant stands convicted under Sections 456 and 323 of IPC & Section 3 (I) (xi) of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 & sentence to undergo R.I. for six months with fine of Rs.1000/-, fine of Rs.500/- and R.I. for six months
2 with fine fo Rs.1000/- respectively, with default stipulation.
2. On the last date of hearing i.e. on 02.01.2025, learned counsel for the appellant informed this Court that the sole appellant has died and learned State counsel was directed to verify the said fact.
3. Learned State counsel has verified the fact and submitted its report with death certificate of sole appellant Trilochan
4. Thus, in view of the death of sole appellant and in absence of any application for bringing his legal representatives on record, the appeal abates and the same is dismissed as abated. Sd/-
