Heard Sri Abhishek Singh, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned A.G.A. for the State. 2. This petition has been filed with the following main prayer:- "(i) To issue a writ order of direction in the nature of Mandamus commanding the opposite parties to issue formal order for providing security guard/gunner to the petitioner under the U.P. Witness Protection Scheme, 2024." 3. Learned A.G.A. on the basis of instructions dated 12.10.2025 received from Sri Anand Mishra, Senior Sub-Inspector, Kaiserbagh, Bahraich, which is placed before this Court and taken on record has submitted that the District Level Security Committee in its meeting held on 11.10.2025 has decided to provide one Security Guard to the petitioner for period of one month on payment of 50% charges, therefore, the petition has been rendered infructuous. 4. Faced with above, learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the application of the petitioner has wrongly been decided under the government order dated 01.01.2016, therefore, Sri Abhishek Singh, learned counsel for the petitioner states that he does not want to press this petition and the same may be dismissed as not pressed with liberty to avail appropriate remedy, to which, there is no objection by learned A.G.A. 5. In view of above, the present writ petition is dismissed as not pressed with liberty as aforesaid.
