Raghunandan Rao) The present Contempt Cases are being disposed of by way of this Common Order, as they raise similar issue and the parties to these cases are one and the same. 2. The Revenue Divisional Officer, Penukonda, is physically present in Court today and his presence is dispensed with. 3. Learned counsel for the respondents has today produced a communication issued by the Revenue Divisional Officer, Penukonda, dated 12.06.2026, along with an award, dated 26.05.2026. 4. In view of the passing of the award, it must be held that the Revenue Divisional Officer, Penukonda has purged himself of the contempt committed by him earlier. 5. Sri P. Roy Reddy, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would contend that the said award is not in accordance with law and that the compensation, awarded under the said award, is wholly disproportionate to the value of the property taken over from the petitioners and as such the same may not amount to proper compliance of the directions of this Court. 6. In view of the fact that the direction of this Court, to pass an award, has been complied with, this Court is of the view that the present Contempt Cases can be closed. 4 RRR, J & TCDS, J C.C.Nos.2254 of 2025 & batch 7. Accordingly, the Contempt Cases are closed, leaving it open to the petitioners to avail of their remedies under law, by treating the date of commencement of such remedies from today, including the reference available under Section 64 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013.
