It is not necessary to participate in the election, rather it is important to support a cause of students. 3. Petitioner is not able to contest election on ground that he has become overage since it was not conducted regularly. 4. Present election is conducted after 5 years, in terms of Regulation 2010 of Aligarh Muslim University Students' Union as amended in the year 2012 and admittedly there is no provision to amend minimum age, therefore, prayer sought cannot be granted. It is up to the respondent University to look into the above grievance and for that the petitioner is at liberty to approach them. 5. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of.
