No. 4691 of 2022, within such time as may be stipulated by this Hon’ble Court 2. The case of the petitioner is that she was appointed as a Lecturer on 20.07.2005 in the Department of Biochemistry, Periyar University, Salem and has rendered about 20 years of sincere service. Her grievance is that, though she became eligible for promotion from Assistant Professor (stage 3) to Associate Professor (Stage 4), the same has not been granted to her. Hence, this Writ Petition. 3. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the material available on record. 4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited prayer sought by the petitioner, the respondents 2 and 3 are directed to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 03.10.2025 and 06.10.2025 respectively and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not made any observation with regard to the merits or claims of the petitioner. 5. Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly.
