Mr. Jayanta Kumar Das, Ms. Madhumanti Das ….for the respondent no.8. Matter is heard in presence of the learned advocates representing the parties. Two petitioners have made an attempt to frustrate effort of the State authorities to release pension in favour of the respondent no.8 who retired on 31st January, 2025 from the post of Assistant Headmaster of Mashaldah Ganapatrai High School (HS), Malda. On query posed to the learned advocate representing the petitioners it transpires that petitioner no.1 retired on 31st January, 2019 and petitioner no.2 retired on 31st January, 2016 and both of them have challenged sanction of retiral dues in favour of respondent no.8 who retired on 31st January, 2025. Since both the petitioners retired long back employer-employee relationship was severed and on the date of instituting this writ petition on 16th April, 2025 they do not have locus standi to question sanction of pension in favour of respondent no.8 who retired on 31st January, 2025. Hence, the writ petition stands dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
