Heard learned counsel for petitioner and learned State Counsel for opposite parties. 2. Present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking following relief:- "I. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus commanding the opposite parties particularly the opposite party No.3 to determine/fix the seniority of the petitioner on the post of Inspector from the year 2014-15 i.e. w.e.f. 20.10.2016, when, other similarly situated Sub-Inspectors were promoted on the post of Inspector and place the petitioner at correct place in the seniority list of Inspector in the light of settled law of the Hon'ble Supreme Court in the case of R.K.Singh versus State of U.P. & others reported in 1991 (Supp) (2) Supreme Court Cases 126." 3. Since considering petitioner's grievance would entail factual aspects, liberty is granted to petitioner to file fresh representation before opposite party no.2 i.e., Additional Director General of Police, Establishment, Signature Building, Gomti Nagar Extension, Lucknow, who shall consider and decide the same within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of fresh representation along Versus Counsel for Petitioner(s) : Ramesh Singh, Himanshu Deepak Counsel for Respondent(s) : C.S.C.
