The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner supplied bleaching powder and lime powder to the respondent- corporation during the COVID-19 Pandemic. It is stated that the supplies were duly received and utilized by the corporation, and final bills were also prepared in relation to the materials supplied. Despite the approval of the said bills by the competent authority, i.e., the 4‘^ respondent, the amounts due have not been released to the petitioner till date. The petitioner is aggrieved by the inaction on the part of the 4*^ respondent in not releasing the payments, despite completion of all formalities and approval of the bills. 2. The learned Standing counsel appearing for the 4’*' respondent submits that the petitioner is also claiming interest for the amounts due. It is further submitted that the bills submitted by the petitioner have been duly uploaded in the Comprehensive Financial Management System (CFMS), and that amount of Rs.6,86,425/- is admitted due and payable to the petitioner asper the records. an 3. Having regard to the submissions made and taking into consideration the fact that the bills were approved and uploaded in CFMS, this Court deems it appropriate to direct respondent No.4 to verify and release the payment of Rs.6,86,425/- to the petitioner. Accordingly, the 4^^ respondent is directed to I verify and release the aforesaid within a period of four (04) weeks from the date amount, due and payable to the petitioner, of the receipt of this order. 4. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. As a sequel, miscellaneous applications, pending/\if any, shall Sd/- SHAIK MOHD.
