This application under Section 483 of BNSS, 2023 has been filed by the Page No.# 2/3 petitioner, namely, Syed Sahid Ali @ Sahid Ali, seeking regular bail in connection with All Women P.S Case No. 74/2025 under Sections 69/74/77/78/79/351(2)/351(3)/319 of BNS, 2023. 3. The case arose out of an ejahar dated 26.08.2025, lodged an FIR by the informant Gargi Phukan before the Officer-In- Charge, All Women Police Station, Panbazar. 4. The elaborate narration in the FIR, in a nutshell, is that the informant developed some kind of relationship with the accused, who had falsified his identity. 5. Apart from that aspect, what is more significant, prima facie from the FIR is that he allegedly started threatening to make some private photographs and videos viral, causing tremendous agony to the informant. She has also alleged about being harassed by his family members. The accused was stated to have been arrested on 26.08.2025. 6. The learned counsel for the petitioner fairly submits that subsequent petition has been filed as the earlier bail petition rejected on 15.09.2025. 7. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that the investigation has not progressed in the last ten days. Objection situation same, except the additional ten days of detention. 8. Considering the nature of the alleged offence, the materials found so far in the investigation and the contentions of the investigating officer – I am of the considered view that it may not be not a fit case to grant bail at this stage. 9.
