JUSTICE KAUSHIK GOSWAMI 29.01.2025 (Vijay Bishnoi, CJ) By producing copies of the letters dated 09.01.2025 and 28.01.2025 from the Director of Secondary Education, Assam, to the Secretary to the Government of Assam, Department of School Education, Assam, Mr. N.J. Khataniar, learned counsel appearing for the respondent/contemnor has submitted that a statement regarding arrear salary of the petitioners has been prepared and after due verification of the same, the statement has already been sent to the State Government vide the above-referred letters with the request to release the amounts. It is contended that now it is for the State Government to release the Page No.# 3/3 amounts as determined by the Director of Secondary Education, Assam. In view of the fact that the Director, Secondary Education Department has already determined the arrear salaries of the petitioners and sent to the State Government, we are of the view that the order impugned has substantially been complied with and hence, no further order is required to be passed in these contempt petitions. Accordingly, the contempt petitions are closed. Notices stand discharged.
