The Court made the following Order:
The present Writ Petition has been instituted by invoking the powers under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking the following main relief:-
“……to issue an appropriate writ or order or direction, more particularly, one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in
2 issuing the memo No Roc No DA2/6431/2017 dt 15 07 2017 placing the petitioner under suspension w e f 25 07 2017 is arbitrary illegal and violation of principles of natural justice and the same is liable to be set aside on the ground of clear violation of principles of natural justice and Article 21 g of the Constitution of India and consequently direct the respondents to take the petitioner into duty without reference to the Roc No DA2/6431/201 7 dt 15 07 2017 in the interest of justice and pass….”
2. The sum and substance of the Writ Petition is that the petitioner challenged the suspension order dated 15.07.2017 passed by the respondent Devasthanam.
3. On 17.04.2025, as there was no representation for the petitioner, the matter is directed to be listed today under the caption
“for dismissal”. Even today, there is no representation for the petitioner.
4. Per contra, learned counsel for the Respondent TTD reported that consequent to the interim direction passed by this Court on 28.08.2017, the petitioner’s suspension was revoked and subsequently, the petitioner was also retired on 31.03.2019 in the cadre of Office Subordinate. Hence, the
3 cause in the present Writ Petition does not survive for further adjudication.
5. Recording the submission made by learned counsel for the respondent TTD, the Writ Petition is closed. No order as to costs.
Interlocutory Applications, if any, stand closed in terms of this order.
