1. The petitioner has impugned order dated 25.04.2023, whereby the private respondent No. 4 has been nominated for appointment as Lambardar of Village Ganote, Tehsil and District Ramban, on the ground that the same is in violation of J&K Lambardari Act, 1972 and the Rules made thereunder. Response has been filed by the respondents.
2. The petitioner has crossed the age of 60 years as such, no direction can be issued to allow the petitioner to perform his duties as Lambardar for the aforesaid village.
3. It is submitted by Mr. Irfaan Khan, learned counsel for the petitioner that the present petition may be disposed of by directing the official respondents to conduct elections of Lambardar in the aforesaid village at an earliest as

possible. Ms. Kohli is not averse to the submissions made by Mr. Irfaan Khan.
4. Be that as it may, as the respondent No. 4 has been appointed as Lambardar for a fixed period, accordingly, the present petition is disposed of by directing the official respondents to hold elections for the post of Lambardar of Village Ganote, Tehsil and District Ramban within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
5. Interim direction, if any, shall stand vacated.

The petitioner has impugned order dated 29.01.2023, whereby the private respondent No. 5 has been nominated for appointment as Lambardar of Village Bhajwal, Tehsil Sunderbani, District Ramban, on the ground that the same is in violation of J&K Lambardari Act, 1972 and the Rules made thereunder. Further the prayer has been made to allow the petitioner to perform his duties as Lambardar for the aforesaid village.
