By the present writ petition, the petitioners seeking quashment of the order dated 04/04/2025 passed by the respondent No.8/District Education Officer and also seeking a direction towards the respondent authorities to allow the petitioners to work in the Government Nagar Palika Nigam, Higher Secondary 3 / 4 School, Ambikapur. The petitioners also seeking a direction to regularize the services of the petitioners looking to the length of service rendered by them. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are working in the respondent department as Placement Teacher/Staff in the Higher Secondary School pursuant to the order issued by the State Government in the year 2016. He would submit that the petitioners have been paid the salaries till April 2022, however, all of a sudden, they stopped the payment of salary and vide impugned order dated 04/04/2025, the placement of the petitioners has been cancelled in an illegal and arbitrary manner, that too, without affording any opportunity of hearing to the petitioners, despite the fact that they are rendering their services since a long period. 3. On the other hand, learned counsel for the State as well as respondent No.5 opposes the submission and submit that vide order dated 28/03/2025 passed by the Collector, Surguja in Revenue Case No.48/B-121/2024-25, it was observed that there is no need of placement teacher & staff and the requirement of the Placement Teacher/Staff has been stopped w.e.f. June, 2022, and as such, they have no indefeasible right to continue in the services as they have not performing duties on the basis of duly constituted selection process. 4. I have heard learned counsel for the parties, perused the pleadings and documents. 5. From the documents annexed with the writ petition, it is manifest 4 / 4 that the petitioners performing the duties as Placement Teacher/Staff pursuant to the earlier instructions of the concerned authorities, however, subsequently vide order dated 28/03/2025 passed by the Collector, it is quite vivid that a decision has been taken not to take services of the Placement Teacher/Staff w.e.f. June 2022. Since the petitioners have not been appointed on the basis of duly constituted selection process, they have no right to claim continuation of their services or regularization. 6. As far as the salary for the period from July 2022 and March 2025 is concerned, the Collector already vide its order dated 28/03/2025 directed the authorities to make payment of salary for the said period and further categorically directed not to take further services of the Placement Teacher/Staff. The order impugned has been passed pursuant to the aforesaid orders passed by the Collector. The same is just and proper warranting no interference of this Court. 7. In the result, the writ petition, being devoid of merit, is liable to be and is dismissed at the motion stage itself. SD/- (BIBHU DATTA GURU) JUDGE Amardeep
