The Court made the following
ORDER:
This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer:
“…..to issue a writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of writ of Mandamus to declare the action of the Respondent No. 1 in interfering with the civil disputes pending between the Petitioner No.1 and the Respondent No.5 and forcing the Petitioners to settle the dispute as per will and wish of the Respondent No.5 and committing extortion by disturbing personal liberty of the Petitioners without following due process of law as arbitrary, illegal and violation of Article 14 and 21 of the Constitution of India and consequently direct the Respondent No.1 not to interfere with the disputes pending between the Petitioner No.1 and the Respondent No.5 and not to disturb the personal liberty of the Petitioners without following due process of law in the interest of justice……”
2. None represented for the petitioners.
3. Sri V.Farook, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, would submit that basing on the representation of respondent No.5, petitioners were called to the police station for preliminary enquiry and no crime has been registered against them. Learned Assistant Government Pleader would further submit that police are not interfering in the dispute between the petitioners and the respondent No.5 and eight crimes have registered against the petitioner No.1.
4. In that view, this writ petition is disposed of. However, the police are
directed to follow due process of law in the case where the crime registered against the petitioners. The police are further directed not to interfere in the

civil dispute between the petitioners and the respondent No.5. There shall be no order as to costs.
