1. Heard Mr. J.I. Borbhuiya, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. R. Talukdar, learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of all the respondents.
2. The petitioner is the registered owner of vehicles bearing Registration Nos. AS-01-V-4443 (Scorpio), AS-01-BR-3230 (Bolero) and AS-01-AX-2304 (Bolero), which were hired by the respondents on different dates between the year 2015 to 2019 for maintaining law and order situation and thereafter, the petitioner raised his bill for an amount of Rs.39,33,545/- before the respondents. However, as the said outstanding due is yet to be paid to the petitioner, he has approached this Court by way of the present writ petition.

The respondent No. 7 has filed affidavit-in-opposition and in Paragraph No. 3, it is stated that an amount of Rs.37,09,195/- has already been forwarded to the Assam Police Headquarters, Ulubari, Guwahati for according necessary sanction. Further, it is also stated that the verification process concerning the remaining bill amounting to Rs.2,24,350/- is going on since objections were raised against the bills and will be forwarded to the Assam Police Headquarters, Ulubari, Guwahati as soon as those objections are resolved.
4. Mr. R. Talukdar, learned Government Advocate, submits that the respondents may be permitted to have a re-verification of the claim made by the petitioner and thereafter, sufficient time may be allowed to the respondents to pay the admitted amount to the petitioner.
5. After hearing the learned counsel for the parties, this writ petition is
disposed of directing the respondents to have a re-verification of the claim made by the petitioner and thereafter, pay the admitted amount to the petitioner at the earliest.
6. Let such exercise be carried out and completed within a period of 4 (four) months from the date of receipt of a certified true copy of the order of this Court.
7. With the above observations and directions, this writ petition is disposed of.
