This interlocutory application is preferred by the applicant for impleadment of Sri Adil Khan, IAS, Secretary to the Government of Assam, Irrigation Department, Dispur; Sri Dhrubajyoti Roy Choudhury, Chief Engineer, Irrigation, Assam, Chandmari, Guwahati; and Sri Ratul Goswami, Executive Engineer, Dimoria Division (Irrigation), Sonapur Tetelia, Kamrup(M), Assam as respondent Nos. 4, 5 and 6 respectively, in Cont.Cas(C) No. 566/2024. Mr. Ahmed, learned counsel for the applicant submits that the earlier incumbents, namely, Sri Pabitra Ram Khaun, Sri Fazal Nahnud Siddique and Sri Ratul Goswami already retired from service on superannuation and in their place, the new incumbents have taken charge of the office, and as such, they are required to be impleaded as respondent Nos. 4, 5 and 6, in Cont.Cas(C) No. 566/2024. Page No.# 3/3 Taking note of the submission of Mr. Ahmed, learned counsel for the applicant, and also considering the facts and circumstances on the record, this Court is inclined to allow this application. Accordingly, Sri Adil Khan, IAS, Secretary to the Government of Assam, Irrigation Department, Dispur; Sri Dhrubajyoti Roy Choudhury, Chief Engineer, Irrigation, Assam, Chandmari, Guwahati; and Sri Ratul Goswami, Executive Engineer, Dimoria Division (Irrigation), Sonapur Tetelia, Kamrup(M), Assam shall be impleaded as respondent Nos. 4, 5 and 6 respectively, in Cont.Cas(C) No. 566/2024. Mr. Ahmed, learned counsel for the applicant shall file amended cause title in Cont.Cas(C) No. 566/2024, within a week from today. In terms of above, this I.A. stands disposed of.
