DOSHI Date : 17/04/2025 ORAL ORDER Learned APP submits that now, the investigation is handed over to the DCP (Crime), Vadodara and he shall conduct the investigation independently and impartially by taking into consideration the report of the learned JMFC in Custodial Death Inquiry No.2 of 2019. Considering such submission, learned advocate for the petitioners, under the instructions, withdrew this petition with a liberty to revive the same in case of difficulty. Permission granted. Since, in a custodial death inquiry, the concerned learned JMFC found some police officers in the cadre of ACP at the relevant time and now at higher post suspect in commission of R/SCR.A/1230/2020 ORDER DATED: 17/04/2025 the offence, it is expected that the Commissioner of Police, Vadodara shall supervise and monitor the investigation of the offence to be carried out by the DCP (Crime), Vadodara, who is present in the Court. It is also expected that DCP (Crime), Vadodara, who is conducting the investigation, shall report to the Commissioner of Police, Vadodara at the end of every week and shall file the outcome only after appraising it to the Commissioner of Police, Vadodara. It is also expected that the time limit assured by learned APP to complete the investigation shall be adhered to in its true letter and spirit.
