Surana, J) Heard Mr. M.A.I. Hussain, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. P. Sarmah, learned Additional Senior Govt. Advocate for the State respondents. 2. Aggrieved with the police surveillance at the house of the petitioner, this writ petition was filed by the petitioner. Accordingly, notice was issued by order dated 22.09.2025. 3. Pursuant to the order dated 22.09.2025 and 26.09.2025, the learned Additional Senior Govt. Advocate has produced a copy of letter dated 22.10.2025, issued by the Sr. Superintendent of Police, Nagaon, intimating that the family members of the petitioner are suspected accused in connection with a fraudulent financial scam and that considering the gravity of the offence, police party was deployed in the premises of the prime accused for preventing destruction and tempering of evidence and for apprehending the absconding accused. However, it has been reported that police party was withdrawn on 25.09.2025. 4. The learned counsel for the petitioner, upon instruction, has submitted that the police party has been withdrawn since the passing of the previous order dated 26.09.2025. Page No.# 3/3 5. In view of the withdrawal of the police surveillance in the house of the petitioner, the Court is of the considered opinion that the purpose of this writ petition has been achieved and nothing survives for further adjudication in this matter. 6. Accordingly, this writ petition stands closed on satisfaction. 7. A copy of letter dated 22.10.2025, produced by the learned Additional Senior Govt. Advocate is kept as a part of record.
