THE TAHSILDAR, GANDLURU VILLAGE, KONDAPURAM MANDAL, 2 Y.S.R DISTRICT. ...RESPONDENT(S): Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying that in the circumstances stated in the affidavit filed therewith, the High Court may be pleased topleased to issue an appropriate writ or order or direction more particularly a writ in the nature of a Writ of Mandamus declaring the inaction of the respondents in paying the compensation amount awarded under Consent Award No. 09/2023-2024 in proceedings bearing Ref.No. A/131/2017, dt. 22.06.2023 to the petitioners mentioned supra under Table B herein, for acquisition of the petitioners land under Gandikota Reservoir ( plus 212 Contour) project that is part of Galeru Nagari Sujala Sravanthi (G.N.S.S) for which the petitioners are legally entitled is illegal, arbitrary, unjust and contrary to the provisions of Right to Fair Compensation And Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation And Resettlement Act, 2013 and further violative of Art.14, Art.21 and Art.300A of the Constitution of India and consequently to direct the respondents to pay the awarded compensation amount, as mentioned supra under Table B herein that is duly payable to the petitioners along with interest @ 24 percentage per annum from the date of award dt. 22.06.2023 till the date of actual payment and pass such IA NO: 1 OF 2025 Petition under Section 151 CPC praying that in the circumstances stated in the affidavit filed in support of the petition, the High Court may be pleased pleased to direct Respondents herein to initiate and complete the requisite payment process of compensation amount payable to petitioners as mentioned supra under Table B herein within two weeks and pass Counsel for the Petitioner: 1. GP FOR FINANCE PLANNING 3 The Court made the following order: Heard Ms. Abhigna, learned counsel representing Sri Javvaji Sarath Chandra, learned counsel for the petitioners and Ms. Kotharu Vijayeswari, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Land Acquisition appearing for respondents. 2. The grievance of the petitioners is against the inaction of the respondents in paying the compensation amount awarded under award No.09/2023-2024 vide Ref.No.A/131/2017 dated 22.06.2023 to the petitioners for the acquisition of the petitioners' land for Gandikota Reservoir and consequently, sought for a direction to the respondents to pay the compensation amount of Rs.2,27,25,962/- along with interest from the date of award. 3. Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Land Acquisition has placed before the Court a copy of the written remarks received from the 6th respondent dated 06.04.2026. A perusal of the same would reflect that proposals have been sent for release of funds to the Chief Engineer, GNSS, vide Ref. No. A/127/2025 dated 11.11.2025. The release of funds for the financial year 2026-27 is awaited,and the bills would be moved to the NIDHI portal accordingly. 4. The said written instructions of the 6th respondent dated 06.04.2026 are placed on record. 4 5. Having regard to the above, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of the writ petition with a direction to Respondent Nos.2 to 6 to ensure that the compensation amount of Rs.2,27,25,962/- is credited to the respective account(s) of the petitioner(s) within a period of three (03) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
