Heard learned counsel for petitioner and learned state counsel for opposite parties. 2. Petition has been filed seeking a direction to concerned authority to consider petitioner's case for promotion on the post of Inspector Civil Police in light of the Government Order dated 6 May 2024. 3. It has been submitted that earlier petitioner had been visited with a minor penalty vide order dated 31st January 2017 due to which he was not granted promotion. It is submitted that aforesaid order was challenged by him before the State Public Services Tribunal in claim petition No. 453 of 2019 which was allowed by means of judgment and order dated 14th August 2025. It is submitted that with best of knowledge of the petitioner, no writ petition thereagainst has been filed. It is also submitted that earlier petitioner's representation for promotion has been rejected by means of order dated 29 October 2024 which has been passed prior to judgment in claim petition. 4. Considering aforesaid facts and circumstances, particularly since punishment order dated 31st January 2017 has already been quashed, the opposite party No. 2 i.e. Additional Director General of Police (Establishment), Lucknow shall consider petitioner's case for promotion expeditiously within a period of six weeks from the date a certified copy of this order is produced before the said authority. 5.
