CORAM:
HON'BLE MR JUSTICE B M SHYAM PRASAD
ORAL ORDER
The petitioner has filed an appeal with the Appellate Authority [in this case, the respondents' Board], calling in question the dismissal order dated 28/30.03.2019. Ms. Renuka H.R. submits that the Board has recently met, and that her definite instructions are that the petitioner's appeal may be taken up in the next Board Meeting. counsel submits that a Board Meeting has been held recently and that the next Board Meeting will be scheduled after securing the consensus/convenience of all the Directors.
The petitioner has been dismissed in the year 2019 on the ground of unauthorized absence and the petitioner relies upon certain medical records issued by NIMHANS Hospital. This Court is of the considered view that the petitioner must know about the outcome of the appeal expeditiously. Admittedly, the Board Meetings are held at least three times a year. In the light of the petitioner's circumstances, this Court is of the considered opinion that the petition must be disposed of directing the Appellate Authority [the respondents' Board] to take up the petitioner's appeal out of turn and decide the same on merits in law; and before 31.10.2025. The petition stands disposed of accordingly with liberty to
