Hemchandra, learned senior counsel assisted by Mr. M. Rendy, learned counsel for the petitioner; Mr. Niranjan Sanasam, learned Government Advocate appearing through video conferencing on behalf of respondent Nos. 1, 2 & 3; and Mr. W. Darakeshwar, learned Sr. PCCG on behalf of respondent No. 4, Ministry of DoNER, Government of India. [2] By the present petition, the petitioner inter alia prays for stay of the NIT dated 24-06-2025 issued by the Chief Engineer, PWD, Manipur for upgradation of road from Mantripantha to Sapok (Charlong village) in Chandel District. It is submitted that there is no clear cut or exact boundary between Lambung and Mantripantha villages as per the record in the office of Deputy Commissioner, Chandel and in the order dated 28-08-2023 issued by the Deputy Commissioner, Chandel, it is stated that direction to NINGOM BAM VICTORIA Digitally signed by NINGOMBAM VICTORIA Date: 2025.09.15 13:47:07 +05'30' WP(C) No. 732 of 2025 & MC(WP(C)) No. 681 of 2025 vacate/evacuate by either party could not be affected upon finalizing the boundary between the two villages. [3] In the circumstances, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 26-08-2025 to the respondents for resurvey and reverification of the area before initiation of NIT. It is submitted that the writ petition can be disposed of by directing the respondents to dispose of the pending representation. [4] Learned counsel for the respondents have no objection in disposing of the writ petition by passing an innocuous order for disposal of the representation. [5] Recording the submissions made at the Bar, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent No. 1, i.e. Chief Secretary, Government of Manipur to consider and pass an appropriate order to the representation dated 26-08-2025 submitted by the petitioner within a period of 2 months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. [6] With this observation, the writ petition is disposed of. [7] It is made clear that this Court does not make any observation on the merit of the case. [8] Registry is directed to forward a copy of this order to the Chief Secretary, Government of Manipur in the course of the day. JUDGE Victoria
