Petitioner’s claim for grade pay of Rs. 4200/- upon completion of 26 years of service was rejected on the ground that he could not produce any evidence that he was engaged as Mate w.e.f. 01.04.1981. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner has drawn attention of this Court to the extract of character roll, which is enclosed at page 58 to the writ petition. Perusal of the said document reveals that there is entry that petitioner was engaged in Construction Division, 1st w.e.f. 01.04.1981. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that Executive Engineer may be directed to reconsider petitioner’s claim in the light of the said document. 5. Accordingly, writ petition is disposed of with direction to Executive Engineer concerned to reconsider the matter in the light of document which is enclosed at page 58 of the writ petition, 2025:UHC:8640 as per law, within three months from date of presentation of certified copy of this order. 6. It shall be open to the petitioner to produce the aforesaid document and any other evidence which he has, in respect of his contention that he was appointed in 1981.
