JUSTICE SHIVASHANKAR AMARANNAVAR ORAL ORDER Learned counsel for the petitioner and son of the petitioner are present. 2. The respondent and her counsel are present. 3. Joint memo has been filed. Learned counsels for the petitioner and respondent submit that the matter is settled between parties for Rs.7,18,000/- (rupees Seven Lakhs Eighteen Thousand only). 4. Learned counsel for the respondent submits that the petitioner has deposited Rs.3,64,000/- (rupees Three Lakhs Sixty Four Thousand only) before the trial Court. The respondent –complainant has withdrawn the same. Out of balance amount of Rs.3,54,000/-(Rs.7,18,000/- minus Rs.3,64,000/-) son of the petitioner has paid Rs.1,00,000/- - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:23460 CRL.RP No. 623 of 2021 (rupees One Lakh only) by way of cash to the respondent. The respondent –complainant reports the receipt of Rs.1,00,000/- (rupees One Lakh only). The remaining balance amount of Rs.2,54,000/- (rupees Two Lakhs Fifty Four Thousand only) has agreed to pay within three months from this day. If the said balance amount of Rs.2,54,000/- has not been paid within three months, the respondent –complainant is at liberty to enforce impugned judgments for recovery of fine amount. 5. In view of settlement, the offence punishable under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 is compounded.
