Applicants being accused have approached this Court through this application under Section 482 Code of Criminal Procedure seeking quashing of charge sheet dated 09.09.2015 filed under Section 173(2) Cr.P.C. in Case Crime No. 77 of 2015, under Sections 135 of Electricity Act (Amended) 2003, Police Station Krishna Nagar, District Lucknow as well as other consequential orders and the proceedings arising therefrom, on the sole ground that the applicants by depositing the required amount with electricity department have compounded the offence. 2. Concededly the prayer for compounding the offence in terms of statutory provisions can be moved before the trial Court, but in this regard no such application has been filed before the Trial Court, therefore, the prayer made through this petition under Section 482 is not being entertained. 3. Accordingly, the case is dismissed. 4. It shall be open for the applicant to avail the statutory remedy before the trial Court.
